The site owner, maybe? @CFBHome
Oh, snap...that's right. Was running all the ACC teams through my head and Wake didn't pop up......
I would look at Duke's (and his specific) recruiting results to judge this because ST coach, well, that's a place filler position IMO. Hell, UK hasn't had a dedicate ST coach in like 5 years or more and we've had some pretty decent special teams. This has to be a recruiting move, but what does this guy bring to the table in that regard?
BTW, @RTR...USN (ret) I did it again.

He's actually an FSU fan. The "wake-is-great" story is a good one, though.
Never underestimate the importance of ST. Having a kicking team that rarely ever misses or a punting team that can continuously flip the field and maintain a short field for the offense is priceless.
Hell, so did IStole it.
We've had that pretty consistently.
What I found funny was a few years ago when we beat Penn St in the Citrus bowl, the announcers said multiple times that Franklin had dedicated 3 bowl prep practices to special teams. We destroyed them on special teams that game.
Where did he learn that I wonder?"Pretty consistently" and "constantly" are worlds apart. Kirby has always provided more playing time based on performance on special teams. You're either all the way in it or you're not in it at all.
Where did he learn that I wonder?
True… He also studied under the Goat!Jim Donnan probably taught him that when he was a player for UGA.
