The Pit of Misery: Politics and Religion

I understand the sentiment, but what state(s)? I know it's easy to say "California" but that's a huge state with a ton of rural, conservative areas who simply get out-voiced. For this to work it needs to much more balkanized than states.
Maine, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware i think would work alright.

The thing is, there are millions of freedom loving, conservative/libertarian minded, Constitution carrying American living in those states, especially once you get out of the urban centers.

This looming divorce doesn't have easily defined boundaries. It's much more urban vs rural than Iowa vs New Hampshire (for instance).

No. Absolutely not. Think about it this way.... Let's round up all the commies and put them where you are. Then nuke it. No. I feel for the small time, local farmer etc who thinks like I do and has to put up with the big city that's located in his state. I'm not going to ask him to move just to satisfy some arbitrary (state) boundary that was designated 150-200 years ago. Especially not when a more balkanized division is an even better solution for MY side.
Leaving hundred of thousands of acres of farmland to the commies? Leaving them mines and forests and other natural resources? Stop thinking in terms of state lines and start thinking logistically. Its not hard.

Oh I know, just trying to come up with a geographical area where there are the fewest freedom loving Americans per capita based on population. There is no good way to split the country, someone will loose no matter how hard we try. Who knows if at some point there is a split I and alot more here in Iowa might be some of the loosers.
