Actually, it's a Ford King Ranch. They don't issue base passes anymore, and my retired ID plus my Chemical Area badge are required for access. Those without a military ID have to have another base issued ID plus their chemical area badge. It was my retired military id I lost. Had I not found it, it would have been even a bigger pain in the ass because I'd have to call in advance to the base 60 miles away reporting the lost ID, and then driving up there to get a replacement.

I don't do any towing either (minus the here and there) but that doesn't stop me from having my truck "chipped" for an extra 200 horses so I can embarrass mustangs and camaros... 😎

I've got 365 HP stock, and can get another 75 if I put a stage 2 chip in it. Not sure I want to though, it's fast enough. 0-60 in about 6 seconds. Not bad for a 4x4 truck.

I've heard great things about the Ford ecoboost. If I wasn't looking to get into a 5th wheel (and already in love with diesels) I'd probably be giving them a look as well. :Bama:

i've got the ecoboost -
been a chevy/gmc truck man,
but decided to go ford last year -
overall, likin the truck -
rides real nice -
and its semi-quick,
but i wouldn't call it fast -

if i wanna go fast,
i'll jump in my supercharged xkr -

one thing that threw me a bit,
was when i changed the oil,
i couldn't find the filter -
turns out, its on top of the engine,
which is nice,
and if they were to put a lil pump
to pump the oil out the top as well,
i'd be doubly-pleased -

So, it's Friday 13th. How is your's going so far?
Here's how mines going so far:
1. Work has been a bitch for a month, with no letup in sight. Boss is being a total prick and unreasonable and won't listen to anything.
2. 2 weeks ago I caused my wifes pet Conure (small parrot) to get killed, causing tension in the house.
3. Yesterday my truck started acting up causing me to be late to work. I'd rather take a beating than be late.
4. Today I drove 40 miles to work only to find out I couldn't locate my credentials to gain access to the facility and had to drive back home. Ended up having to disassemble the center console (a bitch by the way) to find it. It had slid behind the console under the dash.
5. Put everything back together and went to start the truck and now the truck won't start. It looks like the battery is dead, so I've got it on a charger, but in addition, the throttle body controller has failed so I'm looking at about $400 bucks to get my truck back on the road today.

I said fuck it and told the boss I'm not going to make it today. As a matter of fact, the way my luck is going today I'm not leaving the damn house.

Yep. I charged the battery yesterday, and checked it this morning. Only 66%, so dead cell in battery. I put a new one in today and it's running fine. Still not convinced the throttle body controller isn't failing, but until it hard fails I'm running it.

Had to change the alternator on my wife's Acadia a few weeks back. NOT FUN!
