Immigration law enforcement clashed with far-left protesters on June 4 in Chicago. Migrants claimed to have received text messages from the Supervision Appearance Program telling them to report for check-ins, and at least 10 were detained upon arrival. ICE uses this program to monitor illegal immigrants who have previously been detained but were released to await removal or immigration proceedings.

One of the migrants detained is a member of the "Organized Communities Against Deportations," a leftist activist group that advocates for open borders and defunding police. The front page of their website reads, 'Undocumented, unafraid.'

Alderman of Chicago's 25th Ward, Byron Sigcho Lopez, lied about immigration officers and called them "Proud Boys" who were "kidnapping people." Democrats and leftists have adopted a slogan and false talking point that law enforcement making arrests is the same as criminal kidnappings.
