I was born in the last year of generation x. 1978. Thank God. And no, I haven't saved near that much, not even close.

Both of my kids are millennials ... they do alright, but I doubt they have 100k saved. They have kids, bills, debt etc as well.
 
I have a Niece and two Nephews who are millennial. I would venture to say all three have 100K and more saved. But one is an MD, one a CPA and the third is an MBA who runs the design division of a company. They are sure lucky intelligence skips generations in our family.

I also was born in 78. We're actually considered a micro-generation, known as xenials (1977-1983). We had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood. We weren't born with computers, but were the first adapters. We are the perfect generation because we understand what technology has given us without losing sight of how to survive without it.

Don't believe the bullshit. In today's 'Murica, either you're born with money or you're living paycheck to paycheck. When we quit bitching about "color" and realize the reality of the "American aristocracy", we might have a chance. Problem is, there are too damn many living off the gubmint tit and believing what they watch on TV for the rest of us to overcome.
