I’ve got a riot less than a mile from my house

I have to admire the craftsmanship of the Frank Rizzo Statue. That thing has been trashed and attempted to be brought down for days and it’s still standing.

Yep I’m fine, they burned 5 or 6 cars, smashed a bunch of windows and graffiti all over, also looted or destroyed storefronts. Had a 7pm curfew last night and again tonight. National Guard was on scene last night and rolled in again today at 3pm because someone tried to call for another protest.
A friend of mine saw the looters get within 1 block of his business. He had a surprise waiting for anyone who did something stupid,luckily it didn’t get to that.
Hopefully it’s calmed down, but there’s calls on social media to take it to the suburbs to avoid the National Guard, and I’m very close by...though I think they’d rather keep going to East Grand Rapids, more money and lots of plate glass retail there.
 
My brother who lives in a suburb of Birmingham just called. They are boarding up store fronts all over, there is a curfew and there is talk there of the looters wanting to hit the places across the mountain with goods, money and white folks. They hit downtown and there ain't shit there they would want but that did not stop them.

He said he may come up tomorrow and get a couple of my bang sticks. I tried to encourage him to come up tonight cause it is better to have and not need than need and not have. I informed him there is zero problems here and he said yeah ya'll can still eat out on the veranda.

I am sure that some of the talk may be exaggerated but it is a sign of the times it appears. If they head north I will mount my hunting stand on the side of the house and throw a flat screen, some electronics and a couple of bottles of vodka at the end of the driveway. Wonder if they still ticket you for hunting over a baited field.:unsure:

Nope, I watched on TV. NG formed a line, then cops on bikes wearing riot gear moved in fast and arrested those who refused to go home. One guy had a nice welt from a rubber bullet. Its over here, but the burbs don’t have a curfew so it might pop up elsewhere.

Couple guys got beat up and protesters broke it up, police didn't budge which was cool. Klan got the fuck out as quick as they came.

I'm stopping by Publix, I'll get the super duper jumbo pepperoni pack!
