Whistle blew… on top of that Memphis had two players on the field wearing the same number 4 jersey number. Ball should have been dead, and an illegal participation penalty.

I remember commentary noting that. That shit was a mess. This might be the worst blown call on a punt return that results in a touchdown since UConn years ago against Louisville. Husky signaled for a fair catch, got the ball and took off while UL guys were standing still. Ruled a touchdown.
