@RTR...USN (ret) you are aware that the original POPEYE cartoon was based on an old riverboat captain on the Coosa... supposedly between Southside and Ohatchee. True!!!

He was born in "31" and quit highschool to join the navy. Have to be the carrier... did 2 tours then went to work at Goodyear here in Gadsden. One helluva a guy. I regret not asking him more about that time but, he didn't speak of it much... If ya ever wanna know about a good spot on the Coosa...
