Agreed. This was the intent behind NIL. Players being able to profit off of their likeness, not boosters just handing people cash to play for their schools.
Update: It's getting better. Looks like we got a shot at an at large bid as long as we finish strong. Oregon is still playing below their potential, hopefully they figure it out before March.
Oregon had a very young roster. Not a lot of guys defected with Mario leaving for Miami either. Still some additions are needed but the talent is there for a solid season
Ducks needed a 4th QB before camp started and Oregon’s new OC was his OC at Auburn. It’s not shocking. I doubt Oregon promised him the starting job, he will have to beat out the young guys
I like Chip but he’s not an elite recruiter and he’s made questionable choices with his staff down at UCLA. I would have supported bringing Chip back but it’s hard to be upset about this move
Im excited about it. A lot of Ducks fans are underwhelmed. I think they will change their minds when they get a chance to see what Lanning can do for Oregon’s program
