Manning is the No. 1 player in the class of 2023, per 247Sports. His relation to Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, his uncles, is definitely part of the equation but he's also displayed all the skills talent evaluators are looking for in a quarterback.
As a junior at Isadore Newman in New Orleans, Manning threw for 1,947 yards and 26 touchdowns while tossing just four interceptions. He rushed for seven touchdowns as well.

In comparison, 6'1", 220lb 4-star Gunnar Stockton, 2021's #7 QB

His junior year he threw for 3128 yards with 45 TDs versus 4 interceptions. He also rushed for 1581 yards and 26 TDs.

Stockton shattered the Georgia state HS quarterback football record book that was previously owned by Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson. He finished his HS career with 13652 yards passing, 177 passing TDs, 4373 yards rushing, 77 rushing TDs, ALL are new records for a HS QB in Georgia.

On a side note, Stockton fumbled 1 time his entire HS career. His Passing TD/Int ratio? 177/17

Didn't we hear not long ago that Cutcliffe was going to be hired by Texas (presumably to get the edge on signing Manning)? Saw today that Cutcliffe was just hired as a special assistant to SEC commissioner Greg Sankey.

Apparently Bama thinks it's a win for them. Cutcliffe is a Bama graduate and a student of Saban. Frankly, I don't want him at UGA. Too much baggage, and I don't think he lives up to the hype regardless of where he ends up.

Can't say as I'd be opposed to him coming to UK, but that sure ain't happening.......

I don't really give a shit, if he comes, fine, but it'll be hard to beat Bryce out the next two years,, wonder if he's the kind of player that will sit for 2 of the 3 years that he'll play college ball, kinda doubt it.
anyway who is this Stockton feller and what kind of catholic nun boy league did he rack them kind of numbers in :p

That Stockton feller scored 7 touchdowns in the 2nd round of last year's AA playoffs against my high school. 4 passing and 3 rushing. My high school had the #1 rated defense in AA in the state, at the time. He is now #4 in UGA's QB room as a freshman early enrollee.

He runs like a tailback and makes a 50 yard pass look easy. He's pretty damn good at reading a defense and produces well on RPOs.
