Auburn QB enters transfer portal

Hahaha.

Was just taking a stroll down memory lane. Back to when Gus said Joey reminded him of Cam Newton and would be a Heisman contender.

Guess he meant the most recent Cam Newton we see and possibly a heisman contender at another school.

Gus was hired in 2012 to bring championships to Auburn, Alabama and so far , it has been a failure. After the loss to LSU, Auburn has 2 losses and is all but eliminated from the college football playoff race. Gus was known for his dynamic offenses but in 3 out of the last 4 years, Auburn has been average to subpar on offense. Gus is 3-7 as a head coach against number 1 and 2 teams in the country. Malzahn is winless in 7 tries in Baton Rouge, Athens and Tuscaloosa. Auburn has lacked a vertical passing game as well. LSU had this problem and Ed Orgeron hired Joe Brady and now the LSU offense has looked almost unstoppable. Auburn's defense played their guts out against this offense but Auburn's offense, which was supposed to be the strength of Malzahn was completely inept and this wore out the defense. It was almost the same story against Florida. Gus cannot win against teams that are better than or equal to Auburn in talent. Auburn has an offensive line full of seniors who are experienced and they have been average at best. How much longer will University officials put up with this? It's time for a change, 8 wins a year will not cut it in the SEC west, Malzahn has had 7 years to build a program but has not had a year as good as his first year at the helm. It is time for a change, Gus needs to be fired.
 
Let's be honest- if you are recruiting at a high level, you are going to lose some to the portal, because they can start at a lot of other places
