Georgia Tech transfer running back Jahmyr Gibbs commits to Alabama football (yahoo.com)
Gibbs rushed for 746 yards and four touchdowns with the Yellow Jackets in 2021, both team highs. He was a featured receiver out of the backfield as well, adding 35 catches for 465 yards and two touchdowns. Gibbs received 2021 All-ACC Honorable Mention honors as a return specialist; his campaign included a 98-yard kickoff return touchdown against Boston College.
I called this shot. I told a Bama fan I work with last week that he was going to Bama.
Pretty sure I suggested to FSU fans that they should go after Gibbs after UGA flipped Daijun Edwards in the 2019 class.
Gibbs is small at 5'9, 191, but he's fast and he's got great hands. From Dalton Georgia, Gibbs was a 4-star coming out of HS and ranked the #8 RB in the country.
IMO, this is a HUGE pickup for Bama.
