We did an exercise with the French military in Sardinia in '85. We traded MREs with them. They had a concentrate bottle in theirs that when water was added, wine was available with the meal. Drinking it straight was like taking a shot of Golden Grain.

If this was added to our military's MREs the level of motivation to die for our country would explode into never before seen levels.

Got shit faced on a French ship (name of the ship was the Foudre) over multiple nights during a Med deployment. We were sent over there so they could insert our team for an exercise. Spent about 4 days on there and evening chow in the NCO mess was all you can drink wine and beer. We took them up on that all you can drink thing......

We may be one of the few militaries that don't provide booze to our troops (except the muslim countries of course).
 
Nothing new. Some company in the US came out with powdered Vodka/alcohol around 2014. Their target audience was hikers that didnt want to carry the extra weight. They call it palcohol and its banned in some states. Id hate for some Park Ranger to catch me with a kilo of palcohol. :LOL:
