Iran's economy was already shit. That was the trigger for the protests. Blockading them and cutting off the revenue because they can't sell any oil or gas is an added kick in the balls that they really can't afford. Obviously the regime doesn't care about the people but if they want the thugs of the IRGC to stay loyal, they do have to keep paying them. Even the thugs have families who need to eat.

Much respect my friend. I was supposed to fly jets for the air force after I graduated high school. I had taken all my tests, made top 5 % of the testies, and had a golden ticket to the air force academy in Colorado Springs. Girlfriend got pregnant before i graduated high school and that was that.....still wouldn't change a thing but I still wonder what could have been.
I know guys that got dropped from nuke school over the same thing. Back in the day, you couldn't get TS clearance, even interim with an out of wedlock pregnancy or just living together before marriage.
