Most likely SEC scheduling model starting in 2024 is 3-6-6

I do like the SEC going to a 9 game conference schedule. But Bama and UGA need to play each other more than they do. Hopefully the SEC rotates conference opponents better than they did with the previous division format over the past decade. I enjoyed being able to see Bama play YGA in the regular season in 2020.
With the 3-6-6 model, the 9 game conference schedule there will be 3 permanent opponents with the other 12 teams rotating each year. This will assure a home and away with every conference opponent every 4 years. It is by far the best option.

16 teams with pods is a nice set up. Every 4 year player will have at least 1 home/away game against every team.

It sounds like the Big Ten is doing the same thing with their scheduling when USC/UCLA join.
