I was guessing the wasp was a half inch and the spider was just under an inch. I saw one wolf spider there that was at least 8 inches in diameter leg to leg.

8 inches is still a huge spider -
the wolf spiders can get to 3in here -
had a nice one by the back fence a few days ago -
wasp in the pic was about an inch -

So full disclosure. I've been shot at on 5 different continents. Never had a problem with that. Why am I deathly afraid of spiders? That big one I saw was in my tent. I slept outside for my last 3 months in Mogadishu.
