California school board member caught on hot mic saying ‘f--- you’ at parent

The president of a California school district was caught cursing on a hot mic during a school board meeting Tuesday after a parent gave a speech knocking masks in classrooms and COVID-19 vaccination mandates for students.

KTLA reported that Davidson issued an apology and said the public must be "heard with respect."
"I reaffirm my commitment to serve our community with dignity and integrity, and I hope they will accept my sincere apology," she said.

If I'm a meglomaniac bent on power, I'm thinking that an unpaid job as a School Board member who has to listen to hours of people bitching isn't top on my list. :)

Bar must be pretty low for power crazy people these days though.

I assume the "Cancel culture" that everyone loves to make fun of and say they hate is about to step in here and demand her resignation though?

Sorry, but let’s not equate protecting children with canceling people for not being anything short of extreme progressive.

They have the same mandate (masks) for schools here in Kansas, which is pretty much the least progressive state in the United States.

So yeah, cancelling her because you don't like it is pretty much cancel culture. The school board has no authority over the Covid Vaccination mandates so arguing it before the school board is akin to beating your head on a wall. For that they need to go to the State.

I get it though:
X supporting your views says something marginally bad, they need to resign. (Cancel culture)
Y doesn't support your views does something marginally bad (They were just speaking their mind)

I just call em like I see em, and it's great having enough popcorn to watch the hypocrisy on both sides.

Again “you said something I don’t like, I want you ruined and erased!” Is not the same as, “you’re knowingly complicit in harming my child’s development, I want you gone to protect my child”. No matter how you try and make them equal, they aren’t.

it's gonna be a tough road to sell me that your kid having to wear a mask in class is complicit in harming their development. If that's your intent, we're just going to have to agree to disagree.

If you want to talk about forcing kids to take the mRNA vaccine, that's definitely worth a fight, but that's not even within the scope of the School Board. That one goes through the State that mandated it which in this case was the legislature of California was it not?

And psychologists that near unanimously day it’s detrimental to a child’s social development? What if them? And yes, I am unsurprised the shit hole of progressive insanity that is California is mandating. You’d have made a good Soviet though- obey the state, comrade! The children belong to it.

If you're going to quote psychologists as being near unanimous (Which incidentally literally never has happened in the history of the planet), then you're going to need to provide the link to a source.

And spare me the Soviet tripe. It may work with the peanut gallery here, but it's just fluff to me sir. I do a damn good job raising my children.

There’s no unanimous consensus on Covid vaccines, climate change, voter fraud in ‘20, or systemic racism but all are treated as fact. I expect you to provide a link or ask for a link anytime said issues are spoken of with any degree of authority. I’m sure it’ll be fine though, kids at every developmental stage missing an entire year+. I mean we’ve already seen what it’s done to literacy rates, but I’m sure the kids psyches’ will be juuuuust fine.

You are the one who quoted psychologists unanimous though, I'm just asking you to pony up. If you can't all good, I'll chalk it up to your opinion. Tons of those going around.

No, I just get tired of the “link?” defense. It’s a cop out. It’s a stall tactic and attempt to slip the point, complete with a scramble for a single counterpoint link to pretend it counters out, so objective rendered moot. Also, again don’t ask me to cite cuz I’m too tired and lazy to do do but I’m pretty sure the psychological effects of wearing masks in general was well established. Why would medical masks be any different? And it’s not so much your kids I care about, it’s kinda in general. I am sure you think “raise em right and masks don’t matter”, based on your communist conditioning thoughts? I don’t want to assume, however.

It's a net zero to make folks feel better mostly. The only folks who need protection are the elderly or immuno compromised.

You don't get to call the opposition snowflakes for police shit then whine like a bitch about wearing a mask.

Common sense applies: Mask up if someone nearby is an at risk because you don't know if you're infected. Just common courtesy to those at risk. I am not going to mask up for a 16 year old kid walking by. But if I am in a store and an 80 year old is nearby, I'm moving on or masking up.

If you're the kinda asshole who walks past some 80 year old without a mask or knowledge that you've had a solid immuno response to the actual virus. You're just full on dick mode.
