Rittenhouse Trial

I really watched zero of this trial. In my mind, it was open and shut self defense, period. One thing I noticed, however, (I watched the riots, and the ENTIRE episode that got the mob angry).
Did anyone mention WHY the mob was chasing him? He and his friend just doused a dumpster that was on fire and being pushed towards a gas station. He actually saved some lives.
Was this mentioned in the trial?

Yes.

you missed a good one. Scummy, dishonest, audacious DA prosecution, a smart ass lawyer, indisputable evidence, it was a thing to behold.

Yes. Along with video evidence, and Rosenbaum getting upset about that and asking why he did that. That's what sparked the initial assault on Kyle by the pedo.

And ima catch hell for this, but my initial thought is the same: He really shouldn't have been there. The first shooting wasn't justified, the other two definitely were.

K, keel me.
While I agree, it was probably not a "wise" decision to be there, Kyle had just as much right to be there as any of the other people that night. Perhaps more, because he was there by invite-by-proxy to protect the car lot.

The first shooting was justified, in my opinion and that of the 12 jurors, because Rosenbaum had earlier threatened to kill Kyle if he caught him alone. After Kyle put out the dumpster fire, Rosenbaum, who was walking ahead of Kyle, ducked behind a truck and waited in ambush. As Kyle passed him he started chasing Kyle, his friend fired a shot in the air - prompting Kyle to turn around. Kyle was then cornered in the back of the parking lot, Rosenbaum yelled "fuck you" and lunged forward reaching for Kyle's gun. At that point in time, Kyle shot him 4 times (including the "once in the back" only because Rosenbaum fell forward as the last shot was fired - not because his back was turned.) I'm not sure how you can be more justified than that.

The gas station belonged to his grandparents, I believe. He was protecting family property and trying to stop the the gas tanks from exploding. The video shows the first guy getting behind Rittenhouse and trying to attack him.
