Bama/UGA for the Natty question

If we had an 8, 12, 16 or bigger play-off, does anybody think we would have two different teams? As a proponent of an 8-team play-off, I say no way at least this year.

I get it. UGA had 1 job in the SECCG. Put Bama out. Trust me. I didn't like it either. Would have been much more fun to have UGA, Michigan, Cincy, and Notre Dame in the playoff.....amirite?

what’s crazy to me is that this is a down year for Bama and they’re still in the title game. The team is very young, which is why they have been inconsistent at times. Bryce young is a sophomore. Will Andersen is a sophomore. This team will be STACKED next year.

lol...Would Saban have had better luck in the NFL, if he had just taken his entire team with him, and been allowed to use college players, and continue to recruit them year after year? Allow him to actually sign players to multi year deals, and pay them. Couldnt be worse than Urban Myer.

No, I think those 2 teams are in the title game no matter what format is used, no matter who they play leading up to it.

This game has seemed inevitable for a while now, I can’t wait.

To be honest, I’m glad that Michigan didn’t back into a natty because of Covid forfeits. I never would have heard the end of that shit.

To the op question, the hard part about expanded playoffs in football is stringing multiple games back to back against good opponents. It really easy in football to not be , Saban seems to handle that better than most.
