Come on man, really? I was actually complementing you guys. Kirby is doing a phenomenal job and has stockpiled as much talent a Saban has. You have to believe that you guys will continue to be successful… I do.

Just saying.......

As I stated earlier, you obviously have no idea what it's like to be a 55 year old UGA fan. I bleed Red and Black, but Hope is dead to me. Every time I've ever thought that good times were finally here.........just another version of 2nd and 26. Since I was 14 years old. I want it, and I'll root for it, but I'll never "believe" and I'll never forget how many times my heart got broken by "Hope".

I was just trying to make the point that losing all that talent, including 3of 5 Heisman guys didn’t keep Bama out of the playoffs and I expect UGA to be in the hunt as well. Kirby is a hell of a coach. With younger guys who are incredibly talented you will have some inconsistent play at times, but it’s not insurmountable.
As far as being an old fart dawg fan I get it. I’ve watched Bear Bryant roam the sidelines, and Nick Saban. In between those two however I wondered if Bama football would ever be relevant again.

McClendon defecting will be the biggest loss for your Ducks. That will be felt for a couple of years. Not retaining him will be Lanning's toughest challenge. As a rookie HC, Lanning really needed to have Mac's experience to help him get his feet planted. I firmly believe that.

Since 1980, Bama has had 5 losing seasons. UGA has had 3. Since 1980, UGA has won 413 games. Bama has won 407. UGA has never had an "in between". It's been " so close but yet, so far", my ENTIRE LIFE.

And just to clarify, I counted the vacated wins for cheating in '93, '05, '06, and '07 as wins. Because those games were won on the field.

You and I don’t always see eye to eye, but in my opinion we’re a lot alike. Both fiercely loyal to our teams, proud veterans, and a lot of CFB knowledge. I respect the hell out of you jarhead, and I’m saying this on the public board instead of a PM. If I’ve offended you my friend, I promise you it wasn’t on purpose.

Saban is the greatest HC in CFB history. I'll never deny that. Being a UGA fan is the most difficult in CFB and it ain't even close. All the jokes about 1980. Never beating Bama. It gets old, bro. UGA is always the bridesmaid and never the bride. This is my world. Even when it's supposed to happen, it doesn't.

That said, I bleed Red n Black, always have and always will. GO DAWGS!!!!
