Saturday my little strong-ass dog (AM Staff bull terrier, looks like a small Pitt around 55 lbs of pure muscle) saw a big dog and pulled me around like a rag dog. I didnt fall, but almost. But now my thigh muscle and hip are giving out. Getting up from taking a dump has to be a calculated and strategic decision. My right leg wants to give out like it cannot hold weight. I have had this problem before after a fall about 5 years ago when I would fall on my face and needed a cane. I know you guys are not MDs, but have you experienced anything like this? Advice? I hate to go to the ER/MD. Last time it happened my MD gave me mucle relaxers and it didnt do shit. Ended up at the chiropractor and he made my back better, but I told him to lay off my hip/leg because it was making it worse. I think it took 2-3 weeks to heal on its own and had had to use a cane around the office during this time. I played sports in highschool, but never had to recover from an injury. Now Im old as shit!

That may be a real medical problem, nerve damage or something?? I have noticed in the last 5 years or so that small injuries take forever to heal, stuff I used to just shake off can linger and be annoying as all hell, I'm 57, and sometimes still do stupid shit !!

I just turned 52, and for some reason I think Im 32 also sometimes. I used to pick up couches on my shoulder and pack them upstairs during a move. Those days are over. I know its gonna heal, just like before, just hope it doesnt take too long.

Yeah… about that. I injured my elbow tendons moving a washing machine. Two months of Physical Therapy, and still hurts like hell sometimes. My therapist said it could take up to a year to fully heal. You would think we would get smarter as we age age but it simply isn’t true. Our brains remember we used to be able to do twice what we do now, and convince our aging bodies we still can. There is a reason men lose testosterone and calcium as we get older… it helps slow us down so we don’t kill our dumbasses doing shit we shouldn’t. 😂

OK, you're 52. Same age as me. Do you get AARP invites in your email like every other day??
