Ender's Game (was...maybe still is....on the Commandant's reading list for Marines)

Did not know that, but not surprised. One of my favorite books I've ever read.....and I've read thousands of books. Man, Clancy must have had a DEEP insider back in the day. As an Intel Analyst, I was shocked at the classified level accuracy he produced.

Yep, it was on the reading list last time I checked, but that was probably 10-15 years ago.

Clancy definitely had an "in".

Anything on Morse Code and Antenna's. But that is just me.

I grew up in the Corps with antennas in my blood. Made all kinds of field expedient antennas. Made a vertical half rhombic and talked to a station in Johannesburg, SA from Little Creek, VA. Have made all sorts of antennas over the years out of copper wire and cobra connectors......

Hazard of smoking, I forget what I just read and have to reread an entire chapter after going into word salad vapor lock 😂

Finished Empire of the Summer Moon. Highly recommend, although it took me longer than usual to finish.

Jumped right into re-reading Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. Always been a Steinbeck fan and have recently been going back and re-reading some of my favorites.
