It's been 24 days since UGA became the CHAMPS.

Only red asses I got a chance to see are the bitter Bama fans that claim losing Metchie and Jameson Williams......"that's the only reason Bama lost". My response is....UGA lost it's top 6 WRs for the majority of the season to injury. Shut the fuck up and take your ass whipping like a man.
Yeah fuck that, I've never liked excuses, they sound too much like whining,, and every fan base has their dumb asses, I would have rather won but if we had to lose, glad it was y'all. Talk shit all you want, we just might do this again one day.

Just for ha ha's, here's a comparison.

Over on the other board some butt hurt horns fan or a BAMA hater will occasionally bring up BAMA/Tx after the 09nseason for the crystal trophy. And it's all about their qb getting knocked out. Would it have made a difference? Dunno.

With BAMA/Dawgs we have a comparison. SECCG BAMA's wr's wore your secondary out. Would it have made a diff in the trophy game? Maybe maybe not. Might have made the game more interesting. But, the bottom line is the Dawgs got to hoist the trophy and that's what matters in the end.

I'm just curious to see how Kirby deals with the success. Can he reload effectively? Adjust to losing coaches? Not get complacent? Saban has set a high bar.

Can he reload effectively?

Go through all the lists. UGA has a total of 8, Bama has a total of 7.

College Football 2022: Top 10 returning players at every position | College Football | PFF

Both the 2022 sophomore and junior classes were ranked higher than Bama coming into college as a freshman class. I'm confident Kirby will be in a good position come the 2022 season.

Adjust to losing coaches?

I have yet to see any replacement coaching hire that Kirby has made that looked like anything less than an upgrade. Except that time he basically shitcanned Chaney and replaced him with Coley.

Not get complacent?

We both know that ain't gonna happen. Saban wouldn't have kept him on staff for so long if he was a complacency problem.

Oh, that much is obvious. See, the thing is, once the mountain top has been reached, well, the struggle, per se, is over. Can the mountain top be kept?

That's the biggie.

As far as his time with Saban? Well, diff between being a co-ordinator/assistant and the boss. Sure, he learned from the best. Time will tell.

Saban was 52 when he won his first Natty at LSU. Kirby is 46. Saban never had to figure out how to beat the GOAT. Kirby had no choice. I agree fully, time will tell.

Would love for that to be the case except for the one loss cause I think we can beat both those teams next year....of course I do!!
That damn warp speed offense Heupel has installed in Vilesville is a bitch to deal with and requires a lot of depth. I’m not sure you guys have enough hoss’es in the stable on defense. Of course, I hope those garbage can convention rejects never win another game so I’ll be pulling for you guys regardless!.

We kept up with them this year (granted, it was at home). Lost 45-42, so we'll see. Our depth on D could well be an issue next season though, for sure. Gotta see how things shake out. I like that it's at the end of Oct and us coming off a bye week.

I think the depth on the front 7 will be fine. UK has recruited well the last 3 cycles, with a lot of 4-star DLs and LBs. Stoops does a great job at developing players. The fact that it is a mid to late season game bodes well for your guys. Kentucky returns a lot of veterans that have bought in to Stoops and his own "process". Having them to lead the younger guys in doing the necessary work outside of the practice field will make the difference. Still, though, both Vaught-Hemingway and Neyland are tough road games. You gotta hit them in the mouth early and often to shut up the crowd.

Agree about the front 7. Our concern is gonna be in the secondary I believe. Can't wait to start hearing some news once spring practices start.

Anyways, back to your champin. Didn't mean to interrupt ;)
