For ND

Starting at hardest:

1. at Georgia

2. at Michigan cool trivia, if ND can win this game, it will be the latest in the season ND has ever beat Michigan. The next closest game would have been in '43 when ND traveled to Michigan in the second week of October and defeated Michigan 35-12 on the way to a national championship. Michigan cancelled the series after that loss, and the two didn't play again until 1978. The latest in the season the game has ever been played was the very first game in 1887, when Michigan defeated ND at ND 8-0. Where Michigan arrived that morning, gave ND a tutorial on the rules of the game, for about 30 minutes, and then started game play. All that to say, anyone that doesn't like ND in football can blame Michigan for it. They started it.

3. at Stanford (mainly because on the road, at the end of the season, don't know who might be injured at this point)

4. Virginia right after the Georgia game, and Virginia has a better team than I think most think they do

5. Boston College the other 'trap game' if you will on the schedule. Week right after Navy ND under Kelly seems to under produce and could be caught looking ahead to the season finally at Stanford

6. VTech I know they are 0-1 so far. But hear me out. They get ND the week after ND travels to Michigan, and VTech will be coming off a BYE. They still have a ton of talent and think they could be a 9 or so win team this year

7. USC I had this higher on the radar, however with the injury to Daniels we just don't know what we will get. The plus of the new QB is that he has only learned the air raid offense while at USC. And ND will get him a few games in and coming off a BYE before traveling to ND (see a pattern here?)

9. Duke argued where to put Duke on this list. They did manage to hold the Bama offense well for a first half. But don't know if that was talent and coaching, or just having that long to scheme on Bama. HC Cutcliffe is an under valued HC at his level and gets the his teams to play above their caliber. Just don't know if they have the talent to go 4 quarters in conditioning vs ND. They well could turn out to be better than VTech and they like 6 other opponents this year, have a BYE before traveling to ND, where as ND has VTech the week before.

10. Navy this Navy squad isn't the one of the a few years ago. HC Ken N. is a great option mind, and runs a great program. But their only advantage here is the BYE before ND.

11. New Mexico Davie coached squad nothing else needs said here

12. Bowling Green, they just don't have much going for them in this game, unless Kelly gives them a reason to stay in it. (See Ball St last year)

Bama:

1. Toss up between Auburn and LSU. Going with Auburn just because the game is being played at Auburn this year and crazy shit happens in that stadium.
2. LSU: They always play Bama tough, and the teams just don't like each other much. The LSU offense looks much improved, and it's an LSU defense. Always a tough out.
3. Texas A&M: Jimbo has them believing, and playing sound ball. Excellent QB and a strong defense.
4. Miss. St: Solid ball team, very physical, and tough.
5. Duke. Played very hard, just ran out of gas.
6. South Carolina: I would have had them ranked higher, but a: they lost to UNC, and b: Their starting qb is out for six weeks.
7. Arkansas: Last year, they were able to exploit some weakness's on Bama's defense, which allowed them some success moving the ball.
8. Ole Miss : LOL
9. Tennessee: LOL
10. Southern Miss. ???
11. NM State. ???
12. WCU ???

1. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party vs the buttsniffers in Jax. The annual grudge match is always critical.

2. Vs the Corn Dogs in Baton Rouge. This always seems to be a close and very hard fought game.

3. Auburn in the Swamp. An old rival. It’s a shame this series is not played every year anymore. Neither fan base wanted it to stop.

4. At Kentucky. They snapped our 31 year win streak last year. They also lost some of the best players they ever had. I think we’re a stronger team this year. It killed us last year when our starting middle linebacker was out. Bennie Snell ran wild. I think we will win.

5. At Mizzou. They have a QB. If Barry Odom can fix their run D they could be dangerous again.

6. At the Cocks. If we turn it over a bunch, we could lose.

7. fsu in the Swamp. We’re running a train on them.

Again.

8. Vandy - they have a good RB but no QB and their Defense can be had.

9. Tennessee They looked awful - especially on Defense. We’re going to make it 15 of the last 16 against them this season.

10-11. Two cupcakes I’m embarrassed to even be playing.

I’ll say what I said before the season started. 10-2.

I think ND beating #1, and then #2 (by 100) would be cool AF
