Transgender Penn swimmer Lia Thomas cleared by NCAA ruling to compete in next month's championships

This is one of the few things that makes this old DAWG show his teeth.

I have coached female athletes for years. They are hard working, athletic, and competitive. Some are VERY competitive. I see how committed they are to their sport and the sacrifices they make to be success

They dream of winning, setting records, and playing at higher levels. This BS has the potential to kill those dreams. I am telling you, it already has with this swim team.

I have always played my teams against boys. It makes them faster. They boys are a little physically faster. The girls match boys in technique and aggressiveness. The girls are usually more advanced tactically and shockingly, more physical. Around 12/13 years of age the changes in boys make the physical difference too much to over come and I stop scheduling games. It is not because the girls do not want to play the boys, they beg me to play them, I just know the risk of injury is too high as the boys mature.

I am always shocked when I hear women supporting this crap. It is against everything Title IX has done to provide for female athletes . Those women are too fucking stupid to breed.

As the father of a highly competitive and athletic daughter, it FUCKING PISSES ME OFF! Thinking this shit is acceptable is a mental illness.

'We fully support Lia Thomas in her decision to affirm her gender identity and to transition from a man to a woman,' the letter states, CNN reported.

'Lia has every right to live her life authentically. However, we also realize that when it comes to sports competition, that the biology of sex is a separate issue from someone's gender identity.

'Biologically, Lia holds an unfair advantage over competition in the women's category, as evidenced by her rankings that have bounced from #462 as a male to #1 as a female.'

Lia Thomas, a transgender woman swimmer for the University of Pennsylvania, won the 200-yard freestyle race at the Ivy League women's swimming and diving championships on Friday in a minute and 43.12 seconds, setting a new Ivy record.
Her next closest competitor, Harvard's Samantha Shelton, finished in 1:45.82, followed by Harvard's Molly Hamlin in third. After winning, Thomas shook hands with both.
The win came a day after Thomas won the 500-yard freestyle in 4 minutes and 37.32 seconds, beating her next closest competitor by 7.5 seconds.

Even after a Wednesday team meeting where a source says Penn administration "strongly advised" its swimmers to avoid talking to the media about the situation surrounding transgender Penn swimmer Lia Thomas, a second female Penn swimmer has stepped forward to speak out via an exclusive interview with OutKick.

The second female Penn swimmer to speak out, who was granted anonymity due to what is viewed as threats from the university, activists, and the political climate, wants people to know that Penn swimmers are "angry" over the lack of fairness in the sport as Lia Thomas destroys the record books and brings fellow teammates to tears.

The second Penn swimmer to come forward was at the University of Akron Zippy Invitational where she watched Lia Thomas beat fellow teammate Anna Kalandadze by 38 seconds in the 1650 freestyle. OutKick’s source described Penn swimmers on the Akron pool deck as upset and crying, knowing they were going to be demolished by Thomas.

"They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they put in it, they’re going to lose. Usually, they can get behind the blocks and know they out-trained all their competitors and they’re going to win and give it all they’ve got," the source said.

Lia Thomas notched a winning time of 4:34.06.

"Now they’re having to go behind the blocks knowing no matter what, they do not have the chance to win. I think that it’s really getting to everyone."

After just five meets and the Akron Invitational, Thomas has not just destroyed opponents. The Penn freestyle records are being rewritten by a swimmer who was second-team All-Ivy league in 2018-19 — as a male.

Akron was an absolute beatdown by Thomas, but it wasn’t without disgust from fans who were in the building watching meet, pool, and school records drop one after the other.

"Usually everyone claps, everyone is yelling and cheering when someone wins a race. Lia touched the wall and it was just silent in there," OutKick’s source said during a phone interview.

"When [Penn swimmer] Anna [Kalandadze] finished second, the crowd erupted in applause."

Every female swimmer needs to boycott these swim events in order to send a message.

I honestly feel that at some point, if this is allowed to go on, alternate organizations will be formed outside of the NCAA.

Basically the collegiate equivalent to Travel Sports in Middle/High School.

There will be a need, some entrepreneur will fulfill it, be labeled a transphobe by leftists who don't follow the sports or have any skin in the game, and the NCAA will dry up in that sport, until they adjust.

Both the IOC and the NCAA have kicked the can down the road and asked the governing bodies of the individual sports to make rulings, so hopefully that will result in some sane rules down the road before it comes to that.
