There can be drastically different underlying reasons for the timing. In my opinion, which is clearly superior to others, Putin wouldn't do anything to make it more difficult for Trump because he already had Trump doing precisely what he wanted in other areas. I really do think Trump would have left NATO in his second term.

If I'm an authoritarian leader hell bent on reestablishing an empire, I want leaders who have allowed me to regain territory over one where I never made an advance - 100 times out of 100.

You think this is going to work out well for Putin and Russia? I know it won't. Horrific miscalculation on his part. A second Trump term would have resulted in far greater gains for Russia. Plus all those billionaires would still have their yachts, McDonalds would be open, and the ruble wouldn't be worth zero.

If they let go of Trump they have to face facts of what's happening today - war in Ukraine, out of control inflation, southern border crisis at all time high, LGBTQ+/pedo shit in our schools, CRT in our schools, LGBTQ+ shit being pushed on our soldiers, did I mention the inflation? With COVID essentially gone, they must clutch onto Trump.

As far as LGBTQ+, look no further than the bill being passed in Florida. (The so-called "Don't Say Gay" bill, which is a complete misnomer.) Why are the Leftists so against this bill? It essentially prohibits grooming young kids by not allowing teachers to discuss LGBTQ+ issues with preK-3rd grade. Why on Earth should any teacher be discussing ANYTHING sexual to preK-3rd graders?
