Had one friend that compared the right banning books to Hitler and the Nazi's. Was odd when I showed him the left o it too and how they are Hitler and Nazi's too.

Some how the left forgets when they do it.

Yep. There was a huge event in Canada a few years ago where lefties were burning books. Thousands of people burning books but crickets now.

Yeah, I fought Fleck and Lights recently on this one.

NO books have been banned, in the complete sense.

Only 9 books have been banned from schools, and they ALL contained graphic sexual images, descriptions, or both. Most of those contained sexual situations between minors and adults.

For example, this gem.

Maus, is a great book, but contains nudity and profanity. School boards asked the author if they could include books with those words and images redacted, and were told this would create an actionable copyright infringement, and therefore it was removed from 8th grade curriculum, but remains in school libraries.

A number of books have been pulled pending review.

No book has been banned at this time due to race or CRT concerns.

Now if you want to talk about book burning, I consider the Tech Elite Left's online censorship on their various social media to be much more akin to good old fashioned Nazi book burning.

Also, let's not forget how the left fell over themselves to silence Abigail Shrier.

None.

Banned from school?

Sure, those which contained graphic sexual situations unsuitable to children.

Honestly, most any article you can find about the right banning books uses that in the headline, but then if you actually read the article, you find that the books were not actually banned, but removed from school curriculum or school, libraries with good reason.

I honestly wish that the author of Maus could have come to an agreement to redact a little bit in order for kids to be able to read his graphin novel regarding the holocaust, which is excellent, but can understand not including it in the curriculum.

But these illiberals DO love their headlines, don't they?
