Gas prices driving 173% increase in searches for electric cars

From Feb. 24 to March 25, searches for electric cars on Cars.com increased over 170%, with the strongest interest deriving from California, Florida, Texas and Illinois, according to the automotive website.

Granted I haven't done indepth studies like some of the intellectual and scientific geniuses of today. But has the idea of all those electric car batteries and the disposal of them come into mind? And where they gonna get all the electricity to charge those batteries?

Maybe I'm being simplistic to such an obviously complicated matter but it seems us everyday folks have a better handle on things than all these so-called smart people.

Some of those states have power grid/energy issues to begin with. Adding thousands of EV charging requirements isn't going to help when they were issuing rolling brown outs.

Anyone pushing electric vehicles has never lived 3 weeks without power after a Cat 3 or above hurricane. Sorta need gasoline to get around…fuel generators …power equipment like chainsaws, etc.
