Violet Augustine, 37, an artist, art teacher and single parent in Dallas, worries about the limits of interstate refuge. For months, she said, she considered moving away from Texas with her transgender daughter, a kindergartner, to a state where she doesn’t constantly fear for their safety. When Abbott and Texas’ attorney general directed the state to investigate parents with transgender children for possible child abuse, her plan solidified.

An appeal on GoFundMe has raised some $23,000, and she recently made a visit to Los Angeles, staying at a hotel in the heart of the city’s Koreatown and meeting with leaders of a community group that describes itself as “radically inclusive” of LGBTQ families.

“The city itself just felt like a safe haven,” Augustine said. But, she added, her $60,000 salary, which allows her to rent a house in Texas, would scarcely cover a California apartment: “We’re going to have to downsize.”

But if they get to a certain point they will no longer be in a minority status and the left will have to find some other victimized group to handwring over.

Rapid-Onset Gender Dysphoria — Parents of ROGD Kids

We are a group of parents whose children have suddenly—seemingly out of the blue—decided they identify strongly with the opposite sex and are at various stages in transitioning. This is a new phenomenon that has only recently been identified. Researchers are calling it Rapid-Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD), and it is epidemic among our most vulnerable youth.

Our children are young, naïve and impressionable, many of them are experiencing emotional or social difficulties. They are strongly influenced by their peers and by the media, who are promoting the transgender lifestyle as popular, desirable and the solution to all of their problems. And they are being misled by authority figures, such as teachers, doctors and counselors, who rush to "affirm" their chosen gender without ever questioning why.

We are skeptical of the current Standard of Care, the "Affirmative Approach," which only seems to confirm and solidify our children's misguided, externally-influenced sense of self.

And we are horrified at the growing number of young people whose bodies have been disfigured, their physical and mental health destroyed by transitioning, only to discover—too late—that it did little to relieve their dysphoria.

I hate to say it, but, after a certain point that is the only conclusion that can be drawn. The old joke is "think of the children!" ...well, the left covets the children. They seek to perverse them, prey upon them, indoctrinate them, harm them. And, they do it brazenly. Proudly. There's only one word to describe that. Evil.

Yeah, I get it. I've tried to refrain from calling them that, but it seems to be the only conclusion with the perversity they are pushing.
