The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Not gonna lie, I been in a bit of a panic mode since that SSL (or whatever) error message popped up last night. Love posting with all you guys, but my real panic was not being able to finalize the details of the Boone boondoggle at @OldDevilDawg and @PSUTE cabin in Boone at the end of July.
I got ahold of John right away, he had it taken care of, just the site certificate...

The boondoggle at Boone. It'll go down in infamy. LOL!!!!!

Good morning - small rant, it pisses me off at the state of this country, especially on this day of remembering the fallen who gave all, but then I remember and good friend a bit younger than myself who ended up giving all in Afghanistan, saying to me that his service was to the idea of this country and the brave men that took this idea from an illegal whisper to the greatest nation of freedom the world has ever seen. I love my country, but hate the direction this administration is taking us. I hope it turns before too much damage is done..

So my old DeWalt compound miter saw bit the dust, and it’s so old I can’t get parts for it anymore. Piece of junk only lasted 15 years. I’ve bought a lot of what I call “disposable tools “ at Harbor Freight, stuff that you use occasionally, and if it breaks no big deal. But, I did a lot of research and reading customer reviews and decided to take a chance on a Hercules saw. 12” double bevel compound slider saw. The comparable DeWalt is almost $300 more. Two year extended warranty, if it breaks just take it to the nearest Harbor Freight and they hand you a brand new one, no hassle. I still have a lot of siding work to do, so I’ll let you know how it does.

Good morning everyone. We finally had no rain for a weekend so we were able to finish our roof. I will tell y'all what I told my family: IF you really cared, you would have shot me before I started up the ladder with a bundle of shingles on my shoulder. :ROFLMAO: Next up is replacing all the screws in my garage's metal roof and cool sealing it.

I understand completely. I have a consult with an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. Getting old sucks.

I have to finally get ahead on some projects. My roof leaking on both porches ... all exterior to the house ... was a blessing in disguise. It got me off my lazy ass. The garage is not leaking yet, but I need to get ahead of it. I also need to replace two garage door openers. This summer, I am going to install a storm door and do some exterior painting as well as some foundation/brick sealing. This is all on my wife's honeydo list and when I complete it, I have clearance to build my "man cave". It's really just a 20' X 20' patio cover out back so we can BBQ and watch football outside this fall rain or shine.

Getting old does suck, but it beats the hell out of the alternative.
