Pick em, Group 3

20th place for me ...

In case anyone is wondering. I literally pick the favored team every week. Every time.

When it comes to confidence points I assign the most based on the highest rank and working down from there. Which is why I never do good there.

The only time I dont do this is when I think ND has a legit chance yet isnt favored.

first few weeks I just go with my gut, fair to say I aint no Gibbs

then I try to put more effort in it and that usually crashes and burns
I go w/ my gut quite a bit. I just had a feeling UNC was going to win,
not just cover, but win... whew! I have to live vicariously through the
pick 'em for the next 2-3 years. "TrustTheClimb", <<<< Yeah, that's the WVU theme.
We've embraced it and have faith, but we also follow up the "TrustTheClimb"
with: "EmbraceTheSuck" 😅 :WVU:

I've only ever done group 1. Confidence points versus the spread. It's a struggle and a challenge. It got me a trophy back in 2014, but I've cut back on my research since I got reacquainted with my new wife. I'm currently sitting at 15th, but I can make up 100 points in a week if I have a really good one. Time to kick the bride to the curb and fix this shit.

I'm in 18th in that group. I need to start researching more.
The other (Group 3) is just straight up, and not as hard.

rivals version trophy.jpgPlay all three groups. Start with group 3, pick the winners. Go to group two, import the picks from group three and look at the spread, then pick. Then go to group 1 and assign confidence points to the picks. (Yes, I occasionally switch teams off from group 2 if I think there could be an upset and assign it low points) That's been the method to my madness. Works better later in the season when there is a body of work and injury reports to weigh into the picks. You're Welcome...
