Georgia football encourages fans to wear pink in honor of wife of Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson

Prior to the start of the 2019 season, Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson’s wife Wendy passed away at the age of 49. She had been battling breast cancer for over two years before passing away on Aug. 19.

Georgia now plays Arkansas State this week and some in the Georgia community wanted to honor Wendy Anderson. On the morning of Sept. 10, the Bulldogs Battling Breast Cancer account tweeted out that Georgia fans should wear pink on Saturday, as pink is the color associated with breast cancer awareness.
