Coach O is a national treasure

Seriously I never understood why a coach with deals like that is mad when they get canned.

If I was Les Miles, or Charlie Weis etc. I would literally rent every billboard anywhere near campus all the way through the season every year, with a picture of me sitting in a banana speedo on a beach sipping umbrella drinks with a pillow made out of cash. And a big

THANKS FOR FIRING ME!!

at the bottom of it.

Because you don’t grind to the top of the ladder without a competitive desire that burns more than most. So while the money is comforting and nice, being branded a failure and a loser tends to sting a little more then it would the average Joe.

Yeah. Miles? '07 National title.

114-34 record at LSU.....won 77% of his games.

Not exactly a failure.

Where did I say he was a failure?

I just said he was canned. And walked away with millions

Lots of very good coaches get fired because they can't get along with the athletic director.

I'm asking because I don't know.

Is this your first time on a message board? Because your response to my question confused me even more than your statement.

I'm just not sure why you are quoting what Nole said, about when I asked where I said he was a failure. I gotta admit, you got me on this one.
