The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Morning everybody.

Getting ready to hop in the truck and hit the road for Melbourne, Florida to see if I can get my oldest brother released from the hospital. He went in about 3 weeks ago, and without some family and reassurances that we will be there for him they wont release him since he really cannot walk anymore. He can stand tho & can get himself from say, the bed to his wheelchair, so he is mobile but at his age ( 72 ) they have all these precautions they have to take by law.

He is miserable, and called me up to see if number one, I would come get him out ( he has a service that comes to his house 3 times a week to clean and drive him around if he needs to go somewhere ) and number two, get his last will & living will in place, as well as appoint me as executor of his will. Sucks seeing your entire family getting old as hell and dying off ( I am the youngest of this generation in my family and I'm 59 ) especially when you get asked to make sure their final wishes are followed.

So, I am gonna jump in the shower then throw my stuff in the truck then drive 9 hrs to get him sprung from the clutches of "The man". Looks like I will be listening to today's day games on the radio and probly just watch the Kentucky/Florida game tonight when I get down to my aunts house. Then in the morning I will head over to the hospital and raise hell until they release his old ass. After that I will hang out for a few days then drive back on Tuesday. The only real upside to all of this is I haven't been down to Florida in about 5 years so I will get a couple days to stroll the beach ( his house is about 4 miles from the beach ) and hang out with my brother. Ok, time to hit the shower then get on the road.
Safe travels, your brother is lucky to have you in his life. I'm the same age with a lot of older siblings too.

I'm not ready for hot sauce until lunchtime.
I completely understand. I think my mom put hot sauce in my baby bottles as an infant. Hot sauce goes on most everything for me. Funny, to prove I'm not a smart man, I married a Colombian. South of the border you would wrongly assume spicy food. Nope, Colombian food is very bland. I usually need to drown her food in hot sauce. Just a little public service announcement.

And before you start getting any ideas I am a fatty.....5-11 and I fluctuate between 185-193.

I have coffee for breakfast and gorge at lunchtime and dinner time. I only eat twice a day since I rarely snack!!!!
