Texas oil companies

I met a gal last month from LA on my way to Red Dog mine that was something akin to a first mate on a tug for Foss and working her way up to be a captain. She was raised around boats and went to some maritime school near LA that trains you to be a ship captain. She was young and hot. <3
Any pictures?

Possible mutiny today after this morning's chow hall fiasco. New cook = no biscuits & gravy and no hashbrowns.

Everyone was like ...

I can't complain about the pay although if I had a do-over I would have went to college.
This country doesn’t run without blue collar workers. College isn’t everything, and frankly in the last 20 years a degree doesn’t mean shit compared to a skilled craftsman. For example I know a woman who went to welding school under an apprenticeship. She learned her craft extremely well, and continuously upgraded her certifications. She worked in the maintenance shop for a Fortune 500 company who paid her a great wage, and paid for her extra certifications She is verified in exotic metals including hastelloy, inconnel , titanium etc. 4 years ago she quit to work as an independent owner/contractor. All she had was her truck, equipment, and small barn for a shop. Last week she paid for a 10,000 square foot shop. She has zero student loans and is making a small fortune working for herself.

Many people prefer going to a trade school for a rewarding career. Not everyone is suited for college like some people would like us to believe.

Star date update day 4. Driller trash has lost 2 roustabouts, 1 mechanic, ànd one welder. Tool pusher asked if one of our guys could do some welding for them and our supervisor said only if it's billable. Even the slickline crew wants nothing to do with these cvnts. New cook was told if there isn't any biscuits and gravy tomorrow morning that she should start packing her things. Meanwhile I'm sitting in the zoom boom (squirt boom/telehandler) helping these driller fvcks with their containment boom. My time is also billable :p I'm just waiting for one of these fvcks to ask if I can hop out of the machine and give them a hand so I can tell them I need my pecker sucked.

Love this.

Reminds me of a story my brother told while working at an L.A refinery. Usual yearly meeting with foremen and new college graduate boss.

The new boss ask the foremen what their goals are for the year. Of course he makes the mistake of asking an old foreman first.

The old guy responds. My goal is to win the lottery and get the fuck out of here.
BTW any fvck who says they'll keep working if they win the lottery should have their arse beat.
