UGA might take some portal players this year. Hard to say. Kirby was very specific when asked what he looked for. He was the only P-5 HC that didn't take any players last year. Travis Hunter was a player that he heavily recruited out of HS and being familiar with the player was one of his adamant rules.
I’ve seen a lot of SC, UGA, Florida State, Miami and Colorado rumors around Hunter. If I was putting Money on it I would say it’s going to be no different than Caleb Williams following Riley to SC last year. Travis Hunter is following Deion to Colorado imo.

Just wait, you'll probably have Trace Ford announce there too as well. He and Cobb went on an OV to USC together.

Cobb is a lot like MRod but without the coverage if that makes sense. He's a great run lock down guy
Thank you poke really hoping for Ford but don’t want to get my hopes up. From what I’ve seen Cobb and Ford really impressed me.

Looks like UK has found their QB, Devin Leary from NC St.

@OldDevilDawg What do you think about Leary? He had four TDs to beat Clemson in 2021 in OT. The following month is when he had the injury in the 3rd quarter beating FSU and injured again this year to go back on the sidelines. Career stats are 6807 yds, 60% completion rate, 62 TDs and 16 interceptions. I dont think we could have done any better. He is a true pocket passer with a quick release and not afraid of taking the big hit. If we can rebuild the sad Oline from this year, he could be dangerous even against SEC competition. He has speedsters Brown, Key and Robinson (back from injury) next year. I hope he stays healthy!

This gives me a boner:

Just picked up Davis (the RB from Vandy that rushed for over 1000 yards this year) as well to apparently replace Rodriguez. Portal is treating UK pretty well right now.
Do you think he is an upgrade over Smoke? I think Smoke's ceiling already passed but he was still a great back many times in key situations.

Dude seems really accurate and reads what the D gives him. Got a little gun slinger in him too, which I like to see personally. Looks to me like he doesn't think there's a throw on the field he can't make, but still chooses the best option the vast majority of the time. Looking forward to seeing what Coen (no jinx pls) can do with him and all our weapons on offense.

Might be wrong, but yes, I think he is. Smoke just never seemed to get too many yards after first contact and this guy seems to be able to do that. Hated to see Smoke go (and still wondering why he switched from number 20 to 0....), but he knew the deal that he wasn't the next dude in line to be "the" dude regardless of what the portal brought our way.

He is from Alabama. Any idea of where he will go to be "the guy?"

He's tough. Good arm, good eyes, good FB IQ. He's a bit of a gunslinger, which I kinda like. Give him decent protection and he'll do great things.

Seems like we agree.......(in reply to H2B's post earlier)
