Conference Realignment?

He was waiting to see what you and Oregon were going to do before he committed to the B12. He’s got one foot out the door for the Stanford job anyway.
Your right but with that said the guy is an idiot. Same goes for Washington's school president ... a woke lifelong academia who's never held a real job in the private sector and has the IQ of a turnip.

So there are now two super conferences, the $EC and BAG 10, a conference, the ACC with Neutered Dames halfway holding hands, and leftover league conference, the BorInG 12. If the ACC loses Clemson or FSU, it’s fucked. Virginia Tech and Miami could reasonably call their shots similarly to UW and Oregon, and the Tarheels and DUKE basketball will keep them viable but, who goes where?

The ACC has some big time buyout clauses that the school's lawyers are going to make bank if they figure a way out of them.

B1G conference commissioner Tony Petitti right about now.

Update:
- There's no movement in the Big Ten to add Stanford and California in the near future. I don't see this happening, at least not for 2024. Options remain limited for the remaining PAC schools.
- BY is still advocating for UConn as a full member but the presidents in the Big 12 aren't high on that idea. He's also talking to Gonzaga but nothing is imminent.
- Florida State intends to leave the ACC before the 2026 season. They are going to write a massive check, it could turn into a legal battle. This story is going to be fascinating. I'm told the Big Ten wouldn't be interested in Florida State until their GOR issue is settled. If cleared, I don't know if FSU would prefer the SEC or Big Ten.

I feel bad for Oregon St. and Wazzu ... not so much for Stanford and Cal. Would love to see the B1G grab Clemson and Florida St. That would be a B1G time footprint in the Heart of Dixie not to mention it would make for some great tailgate food. Southern BBQ for us northerners.

FSU can raise the potential 300 million buyout, I'm sure. As far as which they would prefer, SEC or B1G, IIRC, the SEC requires a unanimous favorable vote from sitting members in order to offer an invite. I'm not sure Florida will play along. As a Dawg fan, I'd love to see the 'Noles in the SEC. We already fight over SWGA recruits annually. Would love to have some on field results to use as ammo during those recruiting battles.
