Mel Tucker likely done at MSU

This is MSU (the name Nassar ring a bell??) which IMO is right up there with PSU and Baylor to name a couple. Guess they don't feel they have much wiggle room in this situation.
The B1G is one B1G freak show.

Sounds like it might just be a Michigan State thing.
It's a B1G thing. I'm showing my age but I remember when Ohio St. kept Woody Hayes employed after he physically assaulted two cameramen and a LA Times journalist. They didn't fire his whackjob ass until he went off on that Clemson player in the Gator Bowl. That's a total of four assaults for one prick of a HC.

With what little respect that comment deserves, you really need to go fuck yourself on that.

Nassar was a professor at MSU, but his only sports affil was 4 MSU gymnasts who were among the 250+ claims in the improper “exams” where he was basically molesting the athletes. It was investigated by campus police, state police and the FBI, none of which could find a prosecutor to press charges. 2 other former MSU gymnasts faced felonies for lying about abuse to cash in. As you may recall, it was a feeding frenzy.

Multiple times, the claims which are real happened when parents or coaches were in the room and refuted what happened. Nassar was a master manipulator, and people probably gave him moral status based on his medical pedigree. One poor girl killed herself years later because her parents who were in the exam room with her gave a deposition defending him…he fooled almost everyone.

The reason MSU took the hit instead of US Gymnastics is simply because they had the money, and you can’t litigate yourself out of a horrible crime like that...not without the media villifying you.

As for the media looking for a villain: Nassar worked under Dr. Anderson at U of M and in their football program, where Bo Schemcechler used the threat of going to “doctor drop your pants” to keep players in line. 1000 confirmed victims there, but the media was much less curious. From the 1960s to the 90’s…multiple reports, multiple times he was moved to be fired, but protected by Bo. Bo’s son gave testimony and was subsequently ousted by UM insiders for not being a team player. Have you heard anything about THAT culture? Btw, Harbaugh defends it…probably because he enjoyed it.

I only laugh at this whole thing because you're trying to pawn it off on UM.

Otherwise, go fuck yourself too, but if you wanna continue this, I'm not gonna engage today (it's Sept 11th), so it'll have to wait.

So let me get this straight. The guy that got the insane contract and could have hired 20 call girls every 20 minutes for the rest of his life. Just magically got caught with the sexual harassment instructor for sexual harrassment which allows them to fire for cause and get out the buy out.

And no one thinks there is a little home cooking behind the scenes ?

My bad, I was venting while drunk. I’m pissed at Mel Tucker and the potential fall out his dumbassery could cause.

You didn’t deserve that, I’m sorry for what I said.

Good luck to you and your team this year!

Thanks, bro and I'm not gonna lie....I was kinda drunk when I posted what I did, but it seemed appropriate to me at the time.

Good luck to you and the Spartans moving forward as well and no hard feelings on my end and hope that's the same on yours.

The one that was potentially the drunkest during the whole thing was probably @Hard2Bluff (amirite?? haha).

You would be correct

Well, buckle up for a shit show. Tucker released a statement yesterday denying everything, which happens to contradict what he told Title IX investigators. The hearing takes place on Oct. 5th, but can’t get here soon enough. Problem is that either party can appeal the findings, which seems like a lock the way they’re both acting.

He also speculated that the suspension could be due to his race or gender. That’s an odd take considering our AD and the interim HC are both heterosexual black men. I guess that indicates that he’s going scorched Earth on his way out. Obviously no way he is reinstated now, no matter what the findings show.

To muddy the water further, both Tucker and his accuser deleted all text messages to each other. I’m thinking they both have some unflattering things there. Title IX has no subpoena power, and no penalty for perjury either. It seems kinda useless the more I learn about it.

TL;DR: a shit show of He said/She said is incoming. It’s going to take a real lawsuit with discovery to figure out who did what here.
