He was instrumental in the death of a student. He should have been charged with manslaughter. Shame on the NCAA for not banning him from college football for life, shame on ND for retaining him and shame on LSU for hiring him.

Coaches like him, Franklin, L Riley. Like a dozen others are completely interchangeable. They are solid 9 or 10 win coaches. They will over or under that every couple of years. But because of how they run their programs or their own personalities they will never get to the promise land.

Kelly came to ND and plugged a lot of holes in the roster and helped improve the program. But after year 6 and him not advancing post 2012. He should have been let go.
