Whats for dinner?

Tonight we had cube steak w/gravy, mashed potatoes and baked broccoli.
I seasoned and then floured the steaks with flour and then popped them in the crockpot for 8 hrs. they were fork ready for supper.
I haven't cooked this in years.
 
Baked broccoli? Hmmmm, sounds interesting. Tell me how to do it.
This is the only way my son will eat it and it is delicious.

Cut the florets off a head or two of raw broccoli. Get a gallon baggie and place the florets in it, pour in some olive oil, close baggie and shake it up.
Preheat an oven to 425 degrees. Pour the broccoli onto a baking sheet. Salt and pepper the broccoli, then mince some garlic and put it on top of the broccoli. Finally, add some shaved Parmesan cheese on top of broccoli and place in oven for 20 minutes. It will come out with charred edges and is wonderful.

If you don't know, you can buy shaved parm in containers in the pkg cheese section of the grocery store.

Btw, don't wash the broccoli. If a germ is strong enough to kill you after 20 minutes @450degrees, it would be an honor to die by such a germ.

When I cook, I'm a big fan of olive oil and real butter. Vegetable oil and margarine are most unhealthy. My favorite vegetables to cook are fresh broccoli, asparagus, and green beans. I use a lot of red onions and portabella mushrooms. Fresh garlic is a must.
