Idk man. Sorry to say it but those big games are the ones that matter. Many could have coached and probably won that game in his spot with the roster mismatch on the edge. That was just pure stupidity to try and show he had a tougher team & beat Michigan at their own style. It didn't work and he lost the biggest game he shouldn't have.
This is absolutely the way I see it. I respect both you gentlemen and both programs, I have no dig in the fight between THE and Michigan. I don't even DISLIKE Ryan Day, but I think he's a fraud. This is by fat the biggest and most important game on the schedule, especially given he hasn't beaten Michigan since 2019. That's a half decade. The several games in a row, combined with UM being reigning champs AND a vastly inferior team this year, where as IMO save maybe Georgia or Texas, THE is the most TALENTED team, and the game was at home, it should have been an easy win. And I think it COULD have been, if Day (or Kelly, but, Day is ultimately responsible) had just aired the ball out. When Ohio State went to the passing game, given their receiving corps (and UM's depleted secondary), they carved out giant chunks of yardage with EASE. But, no, it felt to me like he (Day) was trying to prove something, like "we're tough and are gonna overpower you". It was STUPID and I could not believe he insisted in continuing to try.
Put any decent coach into his position, and THE wins that game by 17 points, 10 out of 10 times. The Buckeyes were the far more talented roster, and at home, and lost because of their inept head coach, who sat like a boo-boo faced cuck when his frustrated players got out of control. Does anyone think Ryan Day is gonna beat Michigan next year? I don't. I KNEW he'd lose Saturday, despite every logical fiver in my being saying that's not probable, I KNEW it because Ryan Day sucks.
THIS is the game you HAVE to win. I've been calling to fire DeBoer. Mediocrity cannot be tolerated.
