What really happened when the SO purge took place? I see it mentioned at times but there seems to be vague recollections that I read. It would be nice to know what is correct versus what is bullshit. Anyone care to elaborate? Feel free to tell me to fuck off if not.

The scandal was different from the explanation from the hierarchy. It was literally a blatant power grab to do away with posters that had taken control of SO. Dealing with my 3 YO grandson right now. I'll provide a full backstory as soon as I can.

Well I can't speak for my compatriots but my part was pretty lol.

Once we found that abandoned board there was a mention among us that Rivals would have no clue and we could post whatever we want without anybody saying anything so I decided to test that theory.

Filled an entire thread with glorious titties and sat back and watched. Yes, I EARNED my ban... these other guys were just f'kd over on principal... basically what ODD generally said. Have not been back since and do not miss it.

Fuck Rivals and their Nazi regime.

Actually I was not 100% sure as I had seen people get 1 week, 1 month etc bans then come back. Also, most of us doubted they would even know people were posting on a defunct board.

Either way, I figured at the least it would be a several month or even year long ban and of course at worst a lifetime ban.

At a lifetime ban I was not scared of the consequences as the board is heavily moderated ( at least it was when we were there ) and simple shit like getting into an argument could result in a ban and was mostly just bullshit rules.

Not disappointed in the least that I was perma banned.
