I had a weak grasp of what to expect of the season because I’m mostly checked out on CFB because my team sucks. I listened to a ton of CFB sports radio in August to catch myself up. A lot of people sold me on PSU and Clemson, as well as Cade Klubnick as a Heisman winner.

Bottom line, I ate it all up. I opened my DraftKings app for the first time in months to place some bets. $0 balance. I click to add money, but my Apple Pay was linked to a debit card that had just expired.

I got distracted and forgot all about it until I tried to order some takeout food a couple weeks later, and Apple Pay was rejected again. That expired debit card saved me some cash!

I never put too much stock in preseason because we all know better. But I certainly thought both would finish top 10ish.

Clemson I wasnt sold on. I think the sun has set on Dabo and he is either going to step down or get pushed out post season in the next couple of years

Elko was who I wanted ND to try for when Kelly left. I have been a fan of him since he was at Wake. Im happy with Freeman and he has been a great fit culture wise. Not sure Elko would have been better at that. But I do think ND would be as good as they as they are now with Elko there.

Texas will be the first team A&M has played in conference that is in the top half of the conference. They had the easiest schedule in the conference. We'll see how that ends up, but I expect Texas to win that game handily.

Haven't actually watched either, but I hope they both lose...or an asteroid hits the stadium or a flood or something.
