Morning, ladies and gents, and those in b/w

I'm sitting here this morning watching a light snow fall, enjoying another cup of coffee, and watching my wife sitting blissfully in her recliner cross stitching. For the last couple of months we have been apart, with me being in Alabama, and her being here in Colorado. She's been miserable here, and I've been miserable there. After 33 years she is still my best friend, and to see her content and relaxed is a blessing to me. This Christmas season, take time to remember that it's not the things you possess, or the gifts you receive that make the holidays special, it's the people who are part of our lives everyday. This may seem boring or mundane to many of you, but days like today are what make me realize just how lucky I am to be married to my best friend. I hope all of you can have the peace and contentment that comes from sharing such simple joys.
