A guy somewhere was arrested for playing catch with his son in his own yard after police were alerted by neighbors. :rolleyes:

We're about to hit a tipping point.

My buddy and our dogs are going to burn a bunch of oak widowmakers I just pulled down from hurricane Michael, then smoke a pork shoulder over them in the front yard. Come arrest me.

Yeah. I'll be shucking oysters in the yard with my oyster knife if they want sum.
 
It's a weird evolution for me as a former LEO but, police don't serve the people anymore just as a DA and Judge isn't interested in justice but conviction percentages.

Too many white folks people are starting to come to the realization that many brown folks have known for a long time which is, Law Enforcement now serves the bottom line of the interests of keeping people subjugated and in line.

That's all it is now. I wish yuns listened faster. I remember saying this on rivals wherein, brown people, especially natives, have always been the "Canary in the Mine" when it comes to new policy and what they can willingly get away with in this country.

Republicans and Democrats alike don't serve us or serve the interests of this country. They have shaped this once great nation into a Neo-Feudalist Oligarchy hellscape where people are expendable and must stay in line. Freedom has been an illusion since the 90's but in all honesty, it's been an illusion since before.

Don't lose hope brother.

After Hurricane Michael, we had the Salvation Army, FEMA, churches, and random people bringing food home to home, free.

We'll get through this man, stay strong.

If I lose anything, hope will always be the final thing I could lose. It's a weird thing, maybe hereditary, I'm not sure but natives have always been able to laugh and hope through everything. Our songs and stories suggest as much.

We've got a lot of people rising up here but we have some weird shit popping up. Police are getting a bit wild about curfews and all but nothing severe.

I've just seen a lot of people who were "blue lives matter" questioning for the first time the very nature of police intent when it comes to them. By them, there's no other way to say it but they/them have been your comfortable suburbanites who've never understood or felt the chasm between the people and the govt. For the first time they are getting out and are mad and to me, I just don't understand why they didn't listen to everyone else.

You guys know or maybe don't that I was up in Cannonball, ND when the pipeline was going through a native cemetery and through the Standing Rock Lakotas water supply. I was there when a girls arm was mangled and ripped from her by a "less than lethal" canister round. I was there when police were more dutiful to "order" than to what was morally right. That was a huge turning point for me. Ah, I'm rambling now but what is done is done with that.

I just hope others are now opening their eyes to what world we live in here and understand that voting the same tow-the-line guys will end up giving us these type of situations over and over.
