Scared of the SEC recruiting I see.

Nothing to be scared of. @Duckboy33 posted this because Team rankings don't matter. Average recruit ranking counts the most this early and ultimately will decide the team ranking when it's all said and done. The SEC is pretty upside down right now because of number of commits. Not because of quality of commits. When it's all said and done, UGA and Bama will be the top 2 in the SEC. It's been that way for years now.

I totally spaced on the SEC. I will update when I’m on my computer

I think I saw Tennessee ranked first and was like "yeah, I'm going to skip this"

Tennessee already has commitments from 13 3-star players. Both UGA and Bama are currently projected to have that many 4-stars or more. Not to mention the projections of 4-6 5-star players for each. Then we wait and see how many of the 9 4 and 5 stars that are currently committed to the Vols that end up flipping away from Knoxville.

Yeah that was the reason for my …...

Orange sucks.

Just figured I'd go ahead and get that one in.

After last years fiasco in recruiting, AD Bohn brought in a lot of new assistant coaches. This has helped in recruiting. You guys killed us last year (on the field and in recruiting) in our own backyard. Us getting Donte Williams from you was huge. From what I understand he wanted to be closer to his ailing dad and when Bohn reached out, he accepted a coaching job. We got lucky, but I'll take it.

The new staff is definitely helping USC on the trail. I also think last year was a wake up call for USC on the recruiting trail. IMO coaches got lazy and assumed they would land a bunch of top kids late in the process. That was USCs M.O. for the longest time. When it didn’t happen last year, I think everyone realized recruiting was going to have to look different

Well said and I agree. I think the old, "USC recruits itself" days are over and last years coaching staff was relying on that.

Washington, UCLA and Stanford all appear to be in decline on the trail, which should allow Oregon and USC to clean up for the next few years. Cal is starting to pick up their recruiting but they aren't really in the picture for the top guys in the state.

matt wells doin work -
4th in the b12
in average and 4/5s -
not bad -

lookin forward to his 2nd season -

guns up!!

Big 12 recruiting is wide open after UT and OU. Texas Tech could establish itself as one of the better teams on the recruiting trail if Wells can have some more success in 2020.
