The Bog of Eternal Stench

NK is right that was pic was fake, my bad. I retract my post. I should have confirmed it before posting.
Posting fake stuff unassumingly/accidentally and getting called out for it only makes us stronger. Too bad it seems only the right leaning folk have a conscious when it comes to posting "fake shit on the internet"...

Keep up the good work Sir.

This ain't National Guard MPs, y'all. This is ACTIVE DUTY Military. I got a fucking problem with this one.

I understand very well that in my oath, I swore to uphold the Constitution against "all enemies, foreign and domestic". I NEVER swore to defend a standing President, nor a standing Government, even if I personally agree with their stance. What if I think we have a Government that is a domestic enemy of the Constitution?

Umm.. The actual Constitution is in the National Archives. They literally will be defending the Constitution.

Trump declared a National Emergency during the covid crap. I don't think that was recinded. If not, we still under a Declaration of National Emergency.
The rules change considerably.

Trump, Obama and Bush helped to kill the the constitution as it sits with Congress giving them that power.

It's over, the 200+ year Democratic Republic experiment is over.

He's trying to enact the Insurrection Clause here which may work in DC but he cannot declare it nation wide unless governors request it.

Now people understand why we are protesting and by subvirtue rioting. The rioters just knew all along it seems.

Along with every other President since at least Woodrow Wilson. Prolly further back than that.

Edited to add: I'm in full support of protesting even without that bullshit permission thing.

Rioting? That's a whole 'nother level. If you're gonna riot, burn down a government building, don't bust up a personal business and steal their shit. Such blatant fucking stupidity is counter productive to what most of us in this country are trying to achieve.

You can see where those of the left really stand with George Floyd. Floyd Mayweather is paying for George Floyd's funeral (highly commendable act for someone able to afford it), yet at the announcement of this assistance to the family, the news announced that $20,000,000 had been raised for bail money for the acts of attemped murder, assault, arson, looting, etc. Shows what's really going on.

It shows that there's a lot of people out there that have more money than they have sense. They think they are bailing out "peaceful protesters" that were "unjustly jailed".

Well, that govt has mostly been on place since probably before you took that oath. I guess you'd need to reconcile if the govt or the rioters are more of an enemy to your oath.

It's not over, as long as the fucking anarchists skidaddle back home. That's what they are hoping for.

And the Insurrection Act does specifically state that governors must request it. This rioting shit has gotten out of hand to the point "that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings." That gives the power to enact to the President.

This rioting bullshit needs to stop, now.

I guess I’m not following that last line. Are you saying the rioters are doing it because they knew if it got bad enough that Trump would invoke the Insurrection Clause, so they preemptively rioted in retaliation?
