My honest take on Trump....keep in mind that I voted for him simply because he's not a career politician.

He is a businessman. It takes a completely different skillset to lead a company than it does to lead a country. He knows nothing about diplomacy. I love that he pisses off both sides of the aisle, but he lacks the ability to understand and speak to the American public. He spends too much time slinging mud with the Media and not enough time talking to the people that make up our country. If he could fix that, he would probably get re-elected in a landslide.

That would be cool if it were Trump's words. But they're not. Trump doesn't know how to say shit like that. Even when his speech writers give him stuff to say, he says it wrong.

He's great at responding to the media, but I'm simply not impressed with his ability to connect with all of us average Americans. All I said was that he needs to focus on us rather than the Media. There's a reason that people think he's divisive. He has zero "tact". Tact....a word I've always defined as, "The ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip."

Case numbers are relatively irrellavent, percent of occupied hospital beds and increases in total deaths are key. Herd immunity will be kicking in at the rate we are going. Just need to balance the two extremes until then. The virus needs sick people to spread, but if recovered, and if immunity has set in, no more spreading, and the virus will drop off the radar, for the most part. My first cousin is a health care worker, and she was in the Myrtle Beach area today, which has exploded with new cases, like Florida, primarily from tourists.

Yeah that's what I figure. Basically keep those most at risk contained, gain herd immunity by the time the vaccine is available. Vaccinate the most at risk and boom herd immunity for the others.

We just had our first death on the reservation due to Covid. We called her Momma Jen Oocumma, she was in her 40s and was a mom to anyone who needed one. She caught it when we reopened the rez almost a month ago. She died alone in the hospital last night.

This shit sucks
