How can we have a CFP ?

i was wondering about this, it may be out and I just haven't heard yet,, but how do they plan to have a playoff, when the big 10 and the Pac 12 are starting so late ?? Whoever wins it gonna have an asterisk by it anyway,, 2020 right ??!!

I don’t think the playoff will necessarily look different. There just won’t be a long layoff before the games

If there's to be a Nathan Hale next to the playoff champion I would gladly accept it.
The B1Ghas been told that their schedule could qualify them for the playoffs. The B1G Championship game is slated to happen right before the playoff selection.
As far as the PAC I haven't heard if their schedule will allow them to even qualify for the playoffs.

The PAC championship game is the same weekend as the big ten. They are both eligible to be selected. Obviously the number of games played will be considered but the big 12 appears to be opening that door
