I agree, but I believe they are named after a WWI French Infantry unit that wore blue tops, and blue gray bottoms.

They were down to the Chanticleers, or the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils match the University’s colors, and the Chanticleers became the Duke yearbook, or paper I can’t remember which.

But the schools do. ND pays a ton in taxes here everywhere. I would imagine the same goes for the others. ND does have the luck of a massive endowment. But most of the others don’t
